I’m taking my 82-year-old father on a cruise this winter and we’re hoping to visit some ruins. He can walk without assistance but is a bit slow and his balance isn’t the best. We’ll be stopping in Roatan, Belize City, Costa Maya, and Cozumel. Does anyone have suggestions for sites that require less walking or climbing?

Altun Ha in Belize is a good option. It’s not too far from Belize City, and the walking surface is relatively easy. The site isn’t very large either, so it won’t require too much walking.
Chachoben in Costa Maya was an easy choice. The paths around the ruins were flat, paved, and smooth, with a short walk involved.
