I’ve read MSC is a bit different from other cruise lines, so I’m hoping someone here can help with a few questions.
I’ve heard that dining options are a little more limited but there are buffets. Should we sign up for the paid restaurants?
Also, I read that any drinks under $10 are free. Does that include beer, wine, and frozen drinks?
What’s their policy on bringing wine or liquor on board?
We also got the standard internet package, but I’ve seen conflicting info. One place says two people per room get internet, but another says it’s just one. Any ideas on this?

Nice! Ok, for food, they are definitely more limited compared to other lines. The main dining room has enough variety, but it won’t be as much as other cruise lines. If food is really important to you, I’d book specialty dining.
For drinks and Wi-Fi – they usually offer a drinks and Wi-Fi package when you book, which might be easier. Otherwise, you just need to check the details of the package you choose and see if it’s per device.
I’m not sure about the drink prices or the policy on bringing alcohol.
One more thing about the ship: on deck 8, next to the spa, there’s an infinity whirlpool area. It’s not marked with a sign, but if you go through two unmarked doors, you’ll find a hidden jacuzzi. I only found it because I saw it from my balcony. It’s definitely worth checking out!

Different from what? What cruises have you been on?
I’m not sure where you heard that drinks under $10 are free, but at the buffet, tea, coffee, and juice are free. No other drinks are included.
We’ve been on Carnival recently, but Norwegian years ago. I also paid for the upgraded drink package when I booked. That covers drinks under $10. I see now that I didn’t make that clear.
I went on a Mediterranean cruise on the Lirica 6 months ago. I’m not a picky eater, but the buffet food was just okay at best. The included fine dining was decent though.
