Best places to stay in Rome for a couple of nights… any tips? Paris too?

Looking for advice on a good hotel in Rome for two nights before our cruise. Bonus points if anyone can recommend a place to stay in Paris after the cruise.

We always go straight to Civitavecchia from FCO and stay at the Hotel San Giorgio. It’s right across from the beach and close to the port shuttle and train station. It’s affordable, and there are lots of great places to eat nearby. It makes the transition much easier and less stressful.

For Paris, we stayed at the Lumen Hotel Louvre. It’s a beautiful place near the Louvre and close to everything you’d want to see.

The Martis Palace Hotel is in a great spot in Rome, and it’s a really nice place to stay. It’s not super close to the port, though. I’m planning to stay there again after my cruise this summer.

We loved the Hotel Barocco for our two-night pre-cruise stay. The staff was amazing, the rooms were very comfortable, and the breakfast was excellent. Plus, it’s a short walk to the Trevi Fountain.

We’ve stayed at the Savoy and the Manfredi, which are both fantastic boutique hotels near the Spanish Steps and the Trevi Fountain. The location is perfect, and Rome is so walkable. Two nights will leave you wanting to come back for more!

We stayed at the Mercure Roma Centro Colosseum, and it was awesome. It’s just a block from the Colosseum, and you get views from the room and the rooftop. Breakfast is included, and the rooftop pool with the bar and restaurant was a highlight of our trip.
