Can fresh grads get deck cadet jobs on cruises?

Does anyone know if cruise companies sponsor or hire fresh graduates as deck cadets? I just finished high school and want to explore this path.

I’m not sure, but I think you might need some certifications first. Have you looked into maritime academies or courses?

I think they’re confused by your post. Are you asking about jobs for recent grads who want to work on a ship’s deck? It might help to clarify if you mean starting as a deckhand or if you’re asking about officer training programs.

@Toryn
Yeah, I’m talking about becoming a deck cadet. I just finished my 12th grade and want to know if there’s a way to join a cruise ship on the deck side.
