Cruise leaving Cape Liberty in March... will it be too cold?

Thinking about booking a Celebrity Reflections cruise with two toddlers. Wondering if we’ll be stuck inside until we get to Florida.

It was cold the first day and the last day. But our ship had an indoor pool, which was great.

I sailed out of Manhattan in February 2024 on Carnival. It was cold and the water was rocky until we got to Florida. It’s definitely too cold to be outside for long periods, especially when sailing. Thankfully, our ship had a retractable roof on the Lido deck. I hope your ship has a nice indoor area for the kids.

It’s hard to say. I live about 10 minutes from that cruise port. In March, you can have days as cold as 30°F and as warm as 80°F. But I would plan for it to be in the high 40s to low 50s.
