For individuals who reserve brand-new ships

@Alain Usually, we take three or four cruises a year. I am really appreciative of the chance to accomplish this at this particular time in my life. I hope you have an amazing day!

@Camilla My expenses would increase because I would need to take a plane to a cruise port. I wanted to know if those who take cruises regularly don’t have to worry about the price of the airfare, lodging, and additional vacation days needed to travel the day before the cruise.

@Alain That undoubtedly prolongs the cruise. I apologize for anyone downvoting you.

I so wanted to be on an inaugural sailing for the longest time. I put down the $500 deposit for VV while they were building Scarlet Lady because I wanted to get early access to booking and book that inaugural (it was scheduled for April 1, 2020 so you can guess what happened with that…) I did go on the inaugural cruise of a small expedition ship and it was okay for the most part but some things were really bad. I just checked off that bucket list item and decided I’m going to let ships get broken in before I go on them. We did go on the 2nd and 3rd sailings of Resilient Lady not by design. I think it was delayed in being ready or something. But, it was perfectly fine and no hiccups. I would not pay extra to go on a new ship.

Because I work in the business, I almost only travel on inaugurals. Other than having a horrible inside cabin on NCL Bliss with loud crew members above, I have enjoyed every new ship I have had the pleasure of sailing on.
