I see lots of reviews of ocean cruises. Has anyone been on a Great Lakes cruise? I know US cruises are expensive, but we’re willing to pay for something different and unique.

Here are a few cruise lines that offer trips on the Great Lakes: Viking, Victory, and Ponant. There might be other smaller cruise lines as well.
I haven’t been on one myself, but yes, Viking does Great Lakes cruises! I know this because I was in Duluth, MN, at the tip of Lake Superior and saw their ships!
Pearl Seas runs a ship called the Pearl Mist on the Great Lakes in the summer. They’re considered a luxury cruise line. I don’t have personal experience with them, but I saw their ship docked in Cleveland Harbor once. When I got close to check it out, security came from all directions and chased me away!
