How to locate inexpensive cabins if you're traveling alone

Fall Sale: Take 75% off the second guest. Etc. I check for these types of specials on every cruise line’s website and create mock-ups with one stateroom and one guest to see how they price out.

The best bet is NCL, which includes solitary cabins in the interior, oceanview, balcony, and studio categories on some ships. Prices have never doubled with them that I have noticed.

Cruiseplum.com allows you to indicate that you are traveling alone right away. Allows you to sort by price per day (including taxes, fees, solitary supplement, and gratuities) so you can truly understand your expenses. (This is not a booking site, but rather a search engine based on booking directly with each cruise company.)

NCL - under the search filter, you may change passenger to 1 and it will start giving you the solo rooms and solo pricing for all cabins (in cases where studios are more than cabins, that’s beneficial).

Go to www.vacationstogo.com, then select Singles Cruises from the top menu, then Cruises with a Low Single Supplement.

@Mitchelle This isn’t very useful anymore. I’ve been toying with it, and it simply doesn’t recognize the good possibilities that sites like cruise plum do. It appears that the audience is no longer particularly interested in solos.

@Nidal Probably not. Too much money is being left on the table by discounting soloists when it is unnecessary.
