@Jayden I’m grateful. Normally, I’m not that clever when it comes to decorating or organizing. Still, I felt a little pleased of this concept
My wife and I procrastinated for years about going on a cruise. We decided to try it out and did our first one in 2019. Very nervous leading up to it and didn’t know if it would be for us. It was brilliant and we now are hooked and go on at least one a year.
We have seen so much more than we would have if we did land based holidays. We have introduced friends to cruising who love it too and have another two booked.
Like what you have done with the cards. Going to do something similar with ours now.
I went on my first cruise in September of two years ago, and I’ve since gone on three more! It has been wonderful to be able to enjoy the happiness and excitement of cruising at last!
I was skeptical too. I’ll about that my wife and I were those people calling cruise ships “floating petri dishes” for many years. Then Covid happened. Firing one of our very long evenings of sequestration, we stumbled upon the show “Mighty Cruise Ships” - the one on Holland America’s Koningsdam - and we were fascinated. We wanted the rest of the series. Then we found Ben and David on YouTube. Then a bunch more vloggers on YT (Andy and Kirstie, Life Well Cruised, Jay and Dee, and many more). Well now we were hooked. We went on our first cruise on the Discovery Princess in April 2023 down to Mexico and fell in love with the whole experience. Since then we’ve been on 7 other cruises:
- Mexico again on Discovery Princess and the NCL Bliss
- Alaska on the Majestic Princess
- California Coast on the NCL Koningsdam and Celebrity Eclipse
- Greece, Turkey, Croatia, &vMontenegro on Virgin’s Resilient Lady
- New England and Eastern Canada on Celebrity Eclipse
And we have two more cruises booked:
- Amsterdam, Ireland, Iceland, & Scotland on Celebrity Eclipse
- California Coast on Virgin’s newest ship Brilliant Lady
We absolutely love being able to travel to multiple places without all the hassle of regular travel, and just watching the world go by from our stateroom. It’s expensive, but we never went anywhere for 20 years and we finally realized travelling is only going to get harder for us and more expensive every year we wait, so now is the time.
That is fantastic! I adore cruising—it’s the ultimate mode of transportation! In a few weeks, I have a Virgin Voyages reservation! My happy spot is on a cruise!
Some parents know about parenting…
@Mboks Seeing so many diverse locations is really pleasant! We have also seen every episode of Mighty Cruise Ship, and my fiancé has spent a lot of time on YouTube watching videos of characters like Tony con la lido loca, JJ Cruises, Ben and David, and Griff and Alyssa.
The level of addiction is insane.
With a few exceptions, I’ve always said if you can’t have a good time on a cruise you’ve got to question your existence.
9 years later and still she is only fiancé?
