Hey everyone, like the title says, I’ve been watching Travel Blog Jamie and Emma Cruises, but I’m looking for more vloggers who stay in regular cabins and don’t just focus on luxury. I’ve watched a lot of ‘Tips for Travellers,’ but Gary seems to really dislike family cruises, big cruise lines, and standard cabins, so it’s not that helpful for me. Ben and David are fun to watch, but they mostly cover suites and high-end experiences. I use vlogs to help plan my trips, so I need something more down-to-earth and budget-friendly. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!
Just saving the original post here for reference!

You might like Parodeejay. Dee and Jay are currently on a long cruise in an inside cabin and usually stick to budget-friendly options. They’ve done a few higher-end trips, but most of their cruises are in regular rooms on mainstream cruise lines. Their vlogs are super informative, and Dee is a travel agent, so they share a lot of useful insights!
@Flynt
Same here! I like how they focus on the whole travel experience, not just the ship.
@Flynt
Their recent Regent cruise was a sponsored trip, which they were upfront about. But they’re usually really honest in their reviews, and they show both the good and bad on every ship.
@Flynt
That sounds great! I have an inside cabin booked for summer with my 6-year-old. Not sure how we’ll feel by the end, but it’s only a week, so we should be fine. I’d consider a longer trip in an inside cabin if the price was right!
@Dez
We did a two-week transatlantic cruise in an inside cabin with a kid about that age, and it was totally fine! You’re out and about most of the time anyway, so we barely noticed the lack of a window.
@Flynt
Yes! Parodeejay is awesome. I love how real they are, and they seem to genuinely enjoy traveling together.
Life Well Cruised is decent—she does a lot of list-style videos and cruise reviews. Mostly regular rooms, nothing too fancy.
La Lido Loca does a lot of cruise news (cue jazz hands), but also covers ship and port reviews.
Emma’s great, but she focuses more on European cruises.
Gary’s videos make me wish I had a way bigger travel budget.
I was going to suggest Ben and David, but I see why you’re looking for other options.
For ship tours, check out Talking Cruise, Harr Travel, and Cruise Radio. Harr Travel is great for cabin reviews, and Cruise Radio has a solid podcast where they cover news, trends, and real passenger experiences. Good to listen to in the car.
Thanks! Yeah, I enjoy Ben and David for entertainment, but they don’t help much with planning. Subscribing to Cruise Radio now!

Ben and David, JJ Cruises, and Eat Sleep Cruise all seem to focus on drama for clicks. They’re fun, but they overreact to everything. I’ve stopped watching them for that reason.
Travels with Ben, Frazier at Sea, and Zach the Traveling Man all focus on budget cruising. Since they travel solo, they’re extra mindful about avoiding those single-traveler fees.
Northern Viking Explorer covers ports more than ship experiences.
Cruising Canucks and Parodeejay also try out a variety of ships.
Lately, I’ve been watching This Cruise Life—they love Margaritaville at Sea, which is the opposite of fancy.
I stopped watching Ben and David when their videos became all about clickbait. Parodeejay has a great mix of budget-friendly and higher-end cruises.
Fraser at Sea is fantastic—very down-to-earth and informative.

Love Fraser! Just wish I understood his accent better!
Don’s Family Vacations is another good one.
Very UnOfficial Travel Guides is great—covers a mix of travel and cruises. I haven’t watched in a while because we can’t travel for now, but it’s a solid channel.
Ryan and Kala (Canadian budget travelers who mostly stay in inside cabins)
Travel Spree (fun mix of cruise and other travel content)
Parodeejay (covers a lot of cruise activities and excursions)
These are my go-to channels!
Thanks, everyone! My YouTube watchlist is packed now!
