What’s the best value cruise for Europe, especially the Mediterranean?

I’m planning to book a cruise for next summer, probably June, and I’m looking for a Mediterranean cruise (Italy, Greece, Spain, or France). I’ve been on Carnival and Norwegian cruises before, and had a great time with both. It will be me, my husband, and our two teenagers. We really want to avoid any surprise fees or hidden costs. I’d prefer an all-inclusive experience where everything we pay for is upfront. I understand that things like soda, alcohol, and some specialty restaurants are extra, but I don’t mind as long as the free food options are good and we still have access to water, coffee, juice, and tea for free.

I’d appreciate your thoughts on which cruise lines might be a good fit for us.

MSC Cruises might be your best bet since you have teenagers.

Edit: MSC is really popular in Europe and has a strong presence there.

I agree. We did a Mediterranean cruise with MSC this year, and it was great. It was very similar to the lines you’ve already tried.

Hey,

I’ve used Royal Caribbean (RCI) in the Mediterranean for years. The ships are great, the food is solid, and the entertainment is, in my opinion, the best.

As you probably know, most cruise lines are pretty similar when it comes to cabins, so I’d recommend focusing on the itinerary. What ports and islands are you planning to visit?

I did two back-to-back Mediterranean cruises with NCL, one on the eastern side and one on the western side. They were fantastic!
