I’m 20 years old and I want to cruise from Florida. Are Virgin and Margaritaville the only options for me, or are there other cruise lines that allow younger cruisers?

I was going to say out of Florida you have just about every single option, but I’m guessing your question is about cruising SOLO? (At least without someone older than you.)

Cruising completely solo! I’d love it if the cruise line took solo travelers into account so I could make some new friends too
@Kerr
As many will say, Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) is very solo traveler friendly. They depart from many ports in Florida too.

But… can I cruise on them at 20 years old?
@Kerr
Ah, I see your point. That might be tough, since most cruise lines require you to be 21 or older. I think it’s a rule based on regulations, not just the cruise line’s decision.

So far, I’ve found Virgin and Margaritaville, which allow cruisers under 21. Just trying to figure out if these are my only options.

It’s not always a regulatory issue, it depends on the cruise line. Virgin allows solo travelers starting at 18. Royal Caribbean requires 21 and up. Carnival says anyone under 21 must be with someone who’s at least 25 in the same cabin.
I would recommend Virgin! I’m a First Mate with them, so if you have any specific questions about that cruise line, feel free to ask!
I recommend Virgin Voyages as well! They have many activities for solo travelers!
Looks like European lines (rather than American ones) have an 18 age limit instead of 21. Cunard and P&O (UK) do have some cruises out of Florida, but they’re limited. Even MSC only lets 20-year-olds cruise alone on European departures, and Celebrity has similar rules. So, yes, looks like Virgin is your best bet (though I’m not sure I would recommend Margaritaville unless you have very low expectations).
