I’m parking at Cape Liberty for the first time instead of taking an Uber. Can anyone share their experience parking there? I’ve found some prices and vendors online, but the info isn’t very helpful. I don’t mind paying more for better service, but I have no way of knowing what to expect.
The following is a copy of the original post to record the post as it was originally written.
For the first time I’m going to park at Cape Liberty instead of Uber. Anyone have any insight on what it’s like parking there?
I see a few vendors and pricing, but the websites aren’t very informative. I’m willing to pay more for better service, but it’s impossible to tell that having never done business there.

Just park in the garage. It’s right next to the terminal, and you’ll be walking to the terminal in about five minutes. Simple.
That’s the one next to the terminal, right? I see multiple companies listed on the pier, though. Some say you can just show up, while others don’t mention anything about paying ahead.
@Dale
Yeah, I think that’s the one. I didn’t notice any other options. I was trying to figure it out before my trip, but the other choice was a hotel parking, which was much more expensive. It’s around $21 or $30 per day for the port garage, but it’s super close and easy.
I will say, watching the people come off the cruise and try to get back to their cars was hilarious. A lot of frustrated people! It’s a bit chaotic, but funny to see.
The garage is usually reserved for disabled parking in busy seasons, but there are other lots nearby. The pavement isn’t great, and cars are parked pretty tightly, but we never had an issue. If you’re parking in a lot, take a few pictures so you can find your car when you get back.
We just cruised out of there in September. The garage was closed when we arrived, and it took about an hour to get through traffic, check our bags, and park. They directed us to a lot across the street from the garage. It’s prepay, I think it was around $125 for the week.

Just a thought: Why not park at a hotel in Jersey City and then Uber to the terminal?
We used to Uber from a friend’s house nearby, but the round-trip Uber cost about $120-130, plus the waiting time when we got back. I’d rather just drive myself and park.
Royal Caribbean has a garage and a big lot in case the garage is full. There shouldn’t be any parking issues, just follow the signs. It’s usually quick, but a month ago it took about 45 minutes just to get from the entrance to the lot.
