Hotels near Port Everglades… any with shuttles?

We’re going on our first cruise as a family, and I’m trying to figure everything out. I know some hotels have shuttles to Port Everglades, but do any of them also bring you back after the cruise? Also, which hotels are good without costing too much? We’ll also need parking while we’re on the cruise. Any advice would be amazing!

Taking the family on our first cruise, and this is all new to me. I know some hotels have shuttles to the port, but do they also offer shuttles back to the hotel after the cruise? Which hotel is the best without breaking the bank? We’ll also need parking while we’re on the cruise. Thanks for your help!

Just use Uber. It’s usually around $15 each way. You’ll save money, and you can stay at any hotel you like. Just pick one with good reviews and free breakfast!

I agree with the Uber option. Most shuttles charge around $15 per person for a one-way trip to the port. If you have a family of four, that’s $60. Uber or Lyft will probably cost less than $20, and you can leave whenever you’re ready instead of waiting for the shuttle.

Hotels with ‘airport’ or ‘cruiseport’ in their name usually offer free shuttles from the airport to the hotel, but there’s often a fee for shuttles to the port. Returning to the hotel after the cruise might not be an option with these shuttles.

There are a bunch of hotels on State Road 84 and 17th Street that are affordable. I stayed at a Best Western before my last cruise, and they had parking available while I was on the ship.

Honestly, Uber is the way to go. Many hotels use shuttle companies that charge $15 per person. We paid $12 for an Uber in October, and it fit everyone in our group.

Don’t pick a hotel just because they offer a shuttle to the port. Most charge per person, and it adds up. Parking at the port is about $20 a day, and it’s secure. Plus, you can leave when you want instead of waiting around.

If it’s your first time in Fort Lauderdale, stay near the beach and enjoy a day there before heading to the port.

I booked the Holiday Inn Express near the Fort Lauderdale airport for Christmas. From what I’ve read, they have a free shuttle to the airport. I’m hoping they also have one to the cruise port.

Don’t assume they do. Call the hotel and ask directly about shuttles to the cruise port. If it’s not mentioned on their site, they probably don’t have it.
