Please tell me this wasn’t a bad cruise that I booked!
Out of 4,00 passengers on a cruise, 100 may find it unsatisfactory and vent about it on the internet, while 3,900 find it enjoyable and the majority don’t write anything.
If you think it will be terrible, then it will be. I have never had a bad cruise experience, but I wouldn’t be bothered if something went wrong and was later fixed, if a guest behaved rudely, if the staff wasn’t overly cordial, or if an excursion was canceled. Some folks are genuinely bothered by these things.
@Alain That also describes who we are! We just do what we do best—eat and drink—and we always have a blast.
I’m sure you’re going to love it. Just remember a few things about eating at a crossing (this applies to all lines, not just NCL). Most cruise ships are built for trips of seven to ten nights. There are far fewer new possibilities towards the end of the journey due to lengthy crossings. So go ahead and order any type of freshly prepared gourmet dining option you choose.
But if not, I hope you received the beverage box because after a few weeks, that bar tab will mount up!
It was the cruise from hell, my NCL experience.
My recommendation? When you want to get rid of your spouse, don’t go on a cruise with them and their parents. Get an inside room if that’s what you decide to do.
For more advice on life, follow me. (NCL is a fantastic line; the cruise from hell was not caused by them.)
@Camilla Aww . No, those don’t seem like the best conditions. I’m sure you felt stuck the entire time!
@Camilla Why weren’t you a couple consoling each other when you booked that cruise?
Did you also go through a divorce?
@Candy We took the cruise in late May (yes, I attempted to get out of it, but I was warned that it would decide we were certainly over if I did), started couples counseling in June, and planned the trip in January. We began understanding there were issues in April.
Yes, I am extremely content with my divorce.
You’ll have a terrific time if you approach it with an optimistic outlook and a willingness to have fun. Things may occur that you dislike. However, your approach will determine whether it’s a positive or negative experience.
Nothing on a cruise is flawless, just like in life. There are fifty happy passengers for every traveler that complains. Put down the reviews, unwind, and enjoy
Nice things are ruined by people. Go ahead and enjoy yourselves. NCL is not inferior. Certain ships are superior to others. But you’re going to have a blast.
Everyone has different tastes, needs and wants. People who do not like NCL, maybe would prefer another line, or maybe crusing is not for them, or they are just professional complainers.
Got off the NCL Star after a 14 day cruise. I thought it was delightful. It was my first cruise so no other cruise line to compare it to
@Mboks It will! I’m looking forward to it. The response here has been amazing.
Because it’s already reserved, take advantage of it. I had a fantastic time at MSC, even though 90% of the reviews indicated it was terrible.
I think a lot of sea days in a row, is just not for some people.
@Dorea My favorite are sea days!
@Meech They appeal to me as well. However, I occasionally go on cruises with relatives who, after more than two consecutive trips, start gnawing the stair railings.
