I made the dumb mistake of making a reservation for the FIRST day at a specialty restaurant! Please allow me to either reschedule or cancel. I don’t think the app allows me to do that. Is calling NCL necessary? Could they possibly assist me?
Just go straight to the specialty restaurant desk when you board…and cancel it. We’re doing that when we board our cruise on Sunday, to move a reservation.
The first day is, in my opinion, the greatest.
It’s quite easy to modify or cancel. Do it on board the ship or right now. Any aboard restaurant’s maitre d’ can usually arrange a reschedule without any issues.
I’ve always believed that specialty on the first day is the greatest. All of the chaos that accompanies first-day free meals is avoided. A pleasant and tranquil atmosphere to kick off your holiday.
@Candy “First day free” dining—what is it?
@Dacosta paired with free dinner on the first day.
On the first night, I always book a reservation for dinner. It all began because our child would get cranky after flying and looking forward to Teppanyaki, which is still his favorite part of cruise, would assist to make that first night enjoyable and guarantee he behaved at dinner. It’s practically become customary these days, even when cruising other lines!
Is there not a desk available for reservations for dinner at the specialist restaurants on board?
It’s quite easy for them to use the chat or phone. Additionally, you can cancel it while on board without incurring any fees. You can get that reservation onboard at the dining desk if you cancel and are unable to locate a time that works for you because most tables are reserved in advance online.
Is making reservations on the first day a bad idea?
@Jayden I am at a loss for words as to why not. Additionally, I am aware many speciality restaurants give out free bottles of wine on embarkation day—at least during Carnival. This is a good thing because on Carnival cruises out of Galveston or New York, you cannot use your drink package on embarkation day.
@Jemmy Yes, we have a hibachi reserved for our first night, and we can’t wait.
I enjoyed gourmet eating on the first day of the vacation, but my wallet didn’t feel the same way the rest of the time. When I made my reservation on the first day, they were having a 50% off deal.
