Top-Notch Travel Agent Suggestions?

We started utilizing a travel agency, and we go on cruises with RC at least twice a year. We have currently reserved three cruises with her, but I haven’t noticed any extra perks yet. We’ll likely grow to be a family of five in the next year or so, and since I know it may be difficult to find cruises on your own, I’ll need to depend more on my travel agent.

Does anyone know of a family travel agent that they would heartily recommend?

Question for Families of Five: Is it usually more economical to reserve two rooms as opposed to a suite? Do you have any advice or tricks to share?

Many families choose connecting rooms because they provide two bathrooms instead of the suite’s single bathroom.

@Salish Alright, it makes sense. Since they are now so small, additional bathrooms are not required. But this will be the best course of action when they’re older.

@Mitchelle This in full. Our three girls are here. Usually, we are given connecting rooms. We completed the family limitless balcony on icon, believing the additional room to be sufficient. Big error. Once more, packing five people into one restroom sucked. I always reserve two rooms unless there is a significant price difference.

Most cruise lines charge a hefty price for a suite for five people. even those with mediocre suites.

We make use of Cruises-n-More, Crucon, and Cruise Vacation Outlet. Crucon’s service was a little risky for a time, but it’s now back to normal. Don’t even consider shopping somewhere else.

For further savings, make your reservation while on a ship. For further savings, we make our own reservations and then transfer to Costco Travel (a different account from Costco). There are further savings if you pay using a Citibank credit card. Spend some time looking for what you require and desire. A wonderful resource for comparing rooms and obstructions is Cruisedeckplans. If you want a better ride, a better night’s sleep, and an ocean view (no veranda, just a window), try to stay in the middle of the ship.

@Mboks Excellent suggestions; I had not considered traveling to Costco. I must investigate it.

A linked interior is almost usually less expensive and better.

B, stick with her if you like her. It is quite uncommon for one agent to offer you more than another, and if they do, it’s usually as part of their commission—something that practically no cruise company will allow. Examples of extras that agents might offer you include OBC and other things.

We are in love with our TA! A few days prior to your departure, her company returns 10% of your fees. They will match discounts like “vacations to go” and we’ve had incredible outcomes. They are exclusively for referrals, however DM me and I’ll be happy to provide the details.

@Jemmy Oh, that’s interesting, I’ve never heard of that. That is to say, roughly 10% of port charges and so forth? I’ll send you a direct message.

Our family of five uses Travel with Jenn to make reservations. She has assisted us with adult-only trips on Princess, Celebrity, and Virgin, but our main cruise line is Royal. also reserved a trip on NCL for the following year.

She has been a huge help to our family and the other families we frequently sail with. Ensures that everyone is informed of options and needs, and truly relieves us of all that coordination work. It was the simplest approach for us because she reserved 60 spots for us on Icon.
