I booked a cruise with Royal Caribbean, and I’m checking in now. They’re asking for a credit card for cruise expenses.
I have Chase Sapphire Preferred, Capital One Venture, and Amex Platinum. What would you guys recommend using?

Don’t use the Platinum unless it’s for business. For personal trips, I use the Chase Sapphire Reserve or Ink Preferred. CSP and Venture are both decent options, but Platinum isn’t great for personal travel rewards.
@Kai
For travel, CSP and Venture both let you redeem points at a 1:1 ratio. Venture limits redemptions to travel-related charges and has lower rates for other categories. Also, they only give great rewards if you book through their travel portal, which won’t apply here.
@Piper
How is it 1:1? CSP gives 2x on travel, and those points are worth more (2.5x) if redeemed through Chase Travel. Am I missing something?

I’m talking about redemption, not earning. For example, if you’re charged $100, you can use 10,000 points to cover it. But with Venture, that only works for travel expenses, and other redemptions don’t have the same value. Both cards earn 2x on travel, but the way you redeem makes a difference.
