For individuals who have taken cruises and thought, “Hmm, I wish they had such and such,” What innovative features would you like to see on cruise ships?
Though it’s totally unfeasible, I would adore having a lazy river on a ship.
@Jayden I recently experienced a lazy river for the first time at the MGM in Vegas, and I would really like it if a cruise ship had one that circled the entire vessel, like the lido deck. It seems impossible from a physical standpoint, but it would be a lot of pleasure to simply float around the ship on sea days.
@Jemmy It shouldn’t be too difficult, in my opinion, to build the “running track” with the option to be filled in to create a lazy river. Just deep enough to float on a tube—kiddie pool depth, please.
The fact that it could only be employed when the ship is extremely level would be a major challenge. If not, the water would rush to one side and then drain completely to the other.
Can you picture one around the promenade deck? There I would be, all day.
