I dunno, I once booked a Havana Suite on a Carnival ship. That was quite elegant. Like everyone else, I also woke up on Celebrity to find chocolates on my pillow, but that also made me feel fancy.

The lowest rate I could find was $5700 USD for a single occupancy; typically, I travel alone.
Nevertheless, since all I could see were the dates and the appearance of the cabins—which lack balconies and twin beds—they must have felt I was the wrong kind of person.

Their most affordable cruise, according to my research, is £2,450 per person; many of them start over £10K. Those who are “wrong” can’t afford it.

@Mboks An associate who books a lot of their regulars on this line informs me that a large number of ‘wrong’ individuals are able to afford it, which is the problem. As a result, the lines have an especially hostile posture. A single pair may cook chowder for the whole of the trip when there are just two digits of people on board (I’ve been there).
